The Theatre Royal in Drury Lane is one of the oldest theatres in London. Today most people call it. Drury Lane by the name of the street in which it stands. The theatre has many traditions. One of them is the Badeley Cake, which began in the 18-th century. Robert Badeley was a pastry cook who became an actor and joined the Theatre Royal. He was a good actor and the plays in which he acted were always a great success with the people of London.

When Robert Badeley was very old, he left some money to the theatre. Robert Badeley asked to buy a cake and offered a piece of it to each actor and actress of the theatre on Twelfth Night every year. Twelfth Night is the sixth of January, the twelfth night after Christmas.

So, after the evening performance on the Twelfth Night, the actors and the actresses come down into the hall in their stage clothes and eat the Badeley cake.

SOS – Save Our Space. We need your help to clean up our city. What have you ever done or are going to do to keep it clean?

Almost everyone complains about our world’s pollution, but they don’t even understand that they are one of the reasons to that. Most people just sit and say that we need to clean our space, but what is the use to that? All of us can sit there and complain, saying that our world is dirty and that we need to clean it, but what will change?

Our planet Earth at the moment is dealing with different kinds of pollutions and almost no one does anything for it. Thousands of animals are dying daily because of all that plastic and dirt created by people. The worst part is that there is garbage not only on our planet, but also in the space. Yeah, it is literally so horrible. Our humanity started destroying everything. Even after that, we still cut trees and plants. Just imagine, we pollute the air with different chemicals and still cut trees that give us oxygen. There’s no logic right? Others might say that all those factories are to make our lives easier. Indeed in some cases of course they are! They make our lives easier but also make it a lot worse. At least we might not feel it at the moment, but we understand that after many years it will get much worse right?And there’ll not be ways to not feel it

Humanity also starts different wars, which are even worse. it is just absurd how can people fight for more territory when there are so many other important things to do. And the thing is that all those wars create a worse mess.

Fortunately nowadays people slowly start to understand everything and start creating different things that may help us. There are some factories and companies that make furniture out of plastic and garbage. They basically go to places where there are lots of plastic elements and gather everything, then they turn it into a stylish furniture. Of course they are doing a nice job, but that is not enough! That is just a tiny part of all the garbage thrown all around the world.

Me personally, i try to use less plastic and when i see a mess outside i throw everything into the trash can. In the future im planning that if i create some kind of brand it has to be eco-friendly. And if i see someone who tries to make our pollution better that of course i am there to help them.

Do we live to work or work to live?

Many people always blame their job or just say bad things about it. But is it even right? some people will say.

-Well, it is work, so of course it is tiring and the worst that can happen with us.

And my reply to that is that you might get tired while working or just get tired of all those people who surround you while working. If it is so then the problem isn’t in you or your work. It is mostly from those people whom you are surrounded with during your work, or the atmosphere just isn’t right.

We have all been taught to choose a profession that we’ll do with love, and now when you’ve become a professional, your work is still very nerve wracking…

The thing is that you, yourself need to make your working atmosphere right. You need to find the right people with whom you can communicate without losing your social battery. If that also doesn’t help, that means that you maybe need to change your profession or your workplace, because it might be giving you some kind of negative energy. That is one of the many reasons that because of it people think that everyone works to live.

Now, imagine your life without working or studying. Pretty boring, right? Well, slowly you start to understand that life is not only about spending time with your family, it is also about new experiences and new knowledge.

Lately i’ve been seeing many influencers that quit their jobs after finally understanding that that certain work isn’t for them. And what did they do after quitting their job? Basically they created a youtube channel, where they found the balance of enjoying life and earning money. In their channel they filmed their trips and explored other countries and their traditions. Their viewers liked it a lot. That way they were able to do something they actually like a lot and earn a good amount of money. This case is a great example that we can live to work, but not the opposite.

If you could change one important thing in your country, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answers.

As most of us know, our country has many problems. One of the most important things here is the rudeness of people. Of course there are many many nice workers and people that you can easily meet during their work or just in general. I personally love that factor, when people are nice to you it just makes your life a lot better. But the opposite happens too. Whenever they are angry at you, it makes you day a lot worse. Even if your day started excellent, that doesn’t mean that their rudeness can’t change it. Nice Armenian people, in my point of view, are a part of our culture. Their respect and niceness is different from others. The same thing is with rude people. Rude people are also very different from others. Every time i try to think about them, i get so angry. They are not just rude to you, they are usually very aggressive too!

Once we were in the store and we wanted to buy something. After we tried to get it, a security guard came to us and started quarreling. After that we said to him that we are not going to buy anything anymore, because of his behavior. And then he told the other workers that children are very bad-behaved and raised wrong. I think that his behavior was very unprofessional and it could be some children instead of us, and im sure that he’d do the same. I feel like it could ruin the child’s psychology and starting from that moment he would get social anxiety. And that worker’s mistake could ruin his whole life!

I would change that rudeness and aggressiveness in people.

My favourite elective school subjects. Are they connected with my future profession?

My this school year’s elective subjects are cooking and design. I chose cooking because i have been in love with cooking since my childhood. I have always likes]d baking and cooking different delicious things for my friends and family. Baking is almost my love language. Every week, after long days at school, i come home, do my homework and then i start cooking. I honestly don’t really care abut what i’m cooking, because the main parts that i like are the process of making it and the result.
Every time i try to cook something different. I try new recipes, new techniques and new cuisines. To be hones at the moment i mostly bake for my family because i don’t think that i can find enough time to cook something. Cooking is a bit different than baking. You need to tell you family that at this day, on thins time you are going to be the one who’ll make the dinner. Unfortunately i can’t do that, because i don’t really know whether i’ll have the time to do that. But baking, you can do it whenever you want. When i find some free time, the one thing that i’m thinking of is baking.

I chose that elective subject to learn more about my favorite hobby. It isn’t really connected with my future profession, because i haven’t chosen one yet.

My second elective subject is design. Again i loved art for a long time. I made handmade earrings, necklaces and accessories from scratch and gave them to my relations. During that subject i’m being able to rest and stop thinking about other things and then i get an amazing result wich makes everything even better.

‌Sports and arts in my life.

As all of us know sports are very important for us. They not only help us stay healthy and fit, but also they are very entertaining. We choose a goal that we want to achieve in a certain period of time, then we try very hard to achieve it. So, after achieving your goal, you become stronger not only physically but also mentally. Lately i haven’t actually made a certain goal to achieve, but i hope that i will, because in my point of view it’s really important. Talking about arts, i really like it! I have loved arts since my childhood. I have had so many hobbies before(when i hadn’t so much studyings to do), but i stopped all of them because of not enough time. Before i used to crochet, draw, make jewelry from epoxy resin, knit, make accessories from wood, work with clay, bake and so much more! Even now whenever i find time, i play the piano, the guitar and sometimes even cook. Many people actually get very concerned seeing all my hobbies, but me personally, i don’t know when i started doing all of that. That just makes me extremely calm. After a long and stressful day at school and other additional lessons when i come home and do all of my additional lessons, the only thing i want is create something beautiful. And it doesn’t matter whether it takes a lot of time or it is hard. For me, i mostly enjoy the process of making it, and after hard work you get to enjoy the beautiful and amazing result made by yourself! Not only that, the reactions that people have after hearing the fact that you made that thing by yourself, makes your hard work even better.

Folk music and dance classes in our school. The song and dance which I like most of all.

As most of us know, our school is pretty famous for it’s traditions. Unlike other schools at our school it is a common thing to learn very traditional dances and songs. We have special subjects called “music” and “dance”. Of course other schools probably also have those subjects, but here it is a bit different. At other schools there are a few dances that are very widespread among every Armenian schools. Here we learn hundreds of new dances during every lesson. They are more traditional and not too common. I like that part, where we investigate different dances and their history. It gives us a chance to understand our traditions and to feel them on our bodies. At our school we have different events, when we gather all together and sing and dance. They are just small activities that might not seem much, but usually they are very fun!

Personally I prefer dance classes more, because after a long day at school dancing helps a lot. Of course I like hip-hop, pop and other kinds of dances, though it is more fun dancing under our own traditional music. All those traditional moves, songs and costumes make simple folk dances thousand times better!

Educational camps in our school. Which camp do you prefer-summer or winter? Why? Tell about your favourite activity during the camps.

At our school we have different educational camps. We have summer camps, winter camps and military camps. I honestly love them all equally. They are all so amazing. Winter camps are very fun because after Christmas many students get very sad, because one of their favorite holidays is over. But at our school after Christmas we don’t get as sad as other schools do. After holidays we get to spent some time with our friends and favorite teachers. At that time we work on different interesting project, we go to different trips. Also on every winter we have our little “traditions”. For example we go ice skating with our lovely squad, we have a cooking day, that’s when we cook different dishes my ourselves. Our summer camps are also super fun. We get to go to many trips, but they are different from winter trips. Because during winter camps, trips are connected with skiing, with sliding a sleigh. making snowman, playing snowballs and so much more. Our summer camps are mostly connected with exploring different places, cities, areas, they are also connected with walking a lot and enjoying the pretty nature.

One of my favorite activities during camps in just spending time with my friends and teachers. During that time you get closer with your teacher. I personally like that because our school has become a close-to-heart place for me, and that’s why it’s even more fun being there and not being super busy.

Your school trips. Tell about your last trip or about the trip which you liked most of all.

As most of us know educational trips are pretty common in our school. Each of us goes to school trips at least twice a year. We are not forced to do that. It is just so fun! You get to spend some time with your friends and teachers. Throughout that time you get closer with your teacher. For me it is also associated with really fun adventures. I haven’t actually been to that many 3-day trips. I was really nervous about them, but lately I’ve changed a lot. Thats why I plan on going to more and more trips.

My favorite trip was to Dilijan. It was in 8th grade. We were supposed to go somewhere else, but our plans changed. Still it was awesome. We were in a really friendly group and we were very close to the teachers. Our school trips are very beneficial for students.

Firstly, you get more independent from your parents, and that shows that you are slowly getting older.

Secondly you create nice memories that you are always going to remember.

Every single step that you do to prepare for your trips makes you older.

Personally I love our trips, because I like exploring different places, cities and even countries. Yes, we can also go abroad for our school trips, the only difference is that it happens not as often as trips in Armenia

What are the advantages of studying at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex?

As we all know Mkhitar Sebastatsi educomplex’s way of teaching is a bit different from other schools.

First of all we use computers as our educational tool. We have our blogs which we use to write our homeworks and different projects. And what about books? The thing is that it is really convenient that we can just have a single computer for every subject. We have our books uploaded on our computers. We don’t need to take all those heavy books and copybooks for every subject. It’s just easier here! One more advantage is that our school is developed from many sides. The teachers here are pretty nice, they have trust in you. Our school days are more interesting with the fact that we work on many projects that are really interesting. Firstly we get to know a lot about a certain topic. Secondly we get a chance to introduce ourselves and be able to speak freely in front of tons of people!

Here in Mkhitar Sebastatsi educomplex we can meet professionals and famous people. Not only that, but we are also able to ask them questions about their profession. Their advices help your thoughts to improve and to get to know more about different professions!
